Sometimes we never get to understand why things happen to us - and that is in most cases for the better. Allah created this universe to perfection - I love calling it His Perfect Design. It really is. Every little detail that is beyond our scope is accounted for. So why hassle our indespicable minds with issues that are way beyond our comprehension? I don't know how to pass a judegement on Life's fairness or unfairness. I don't even know if it really matters. If things were perfect for us, Allah would not have put us on earth in the first place. If we didn't know what it's like to be Sad, we'd never know what it's like to feel Happy. The same goes for other emotions. Faith is the most beautiful spiritual asset a person can ever acheive. Because it brings with it immeasureable strength, patience and even optimism, to pass what most would generalize as an "unfair life". I don’t believe that we should always look for answers. Sometimes we never get to understand why things happen to us – and that is in most cases for the better.

I thought about this many times and I never got a reasonable answer except that life is not fair and we have to face it with faith. Hope ur friend gets better wo inshalla he will heal from leukemia.
